US & World Bi-Metallics  Transit Tokens.

For US Tokens

Our Thanks to Cliff Anderson for compiling the catalogue below.

The following is a narrative description of all known US and Canadian bimetallic transportation tokens.  It was compiled from the Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of US and Canadian Transportation Tokens and published by the American Vecturist Association in its publication “The Fare Box” in November 1999.  Full credit for the research and assembling of this listing goes to AVA members Doug Borden and Bill Boncek, who updated an earlier listing which appeared in the “Fare Box” in November 1997.  Additional narrative description is excerpted from the Atwood Catalogue.

These listings combine US and Canadian tokens with central metallic plugs or inserts of another metal, 5 pointed star inserts, metallic strips of another metal, and metallic lettered inserts.  They are set out by state/province alphabetically (initials used).  Several uncatalogued pieces are also appended.
