Jan Pietersz.Sweelinck 1562-1621. This Euro is safed for fakes. It is made with a Inlay Kinegram (r) in it of pure gold. In the Inlay Kinegram (r) there are 12 stars. Just as in a hologram they give different vieuws when you turn the Euro. It is made of Zilver .999, The weight is 5 troy ounce (155,5 gram), Diameter 65 mm. The kinebar contains 2 gram gold .999 and has an diameter of 15.8 mm. It is prooflike and there are only 2000 struck. Plans are to struck (at the Dutch Mint) two new pieces a year concerning various themes. Bi-metallic commemorative "Maasdonk".By Frans Dubois, Netherlands There is a new F.D.C.set of the Netherlands 1997. It is a commemorative set about the Dutch firm Maasdonk. This commemorative set is very expensive and I only mention it because of the fact that there is a Bi-metallic commemorative medal in it. I was able to get four of these separate medals and I still have two left. This Multi Trade Token has a Copper/Nickel ring and a Brass center. Diameter is 30 mm, quality Unc and there are only 370 pieces made. This Multi Trade Token has been used as Legal Tender in the period July 14th. till August 15th. 1997. This Euro is one of a range of Euros (1.5 Euro and several 20 Euro pieces all non Bi-metallic). UK Bi-metallic 2 Pound postponed......By Paul Baker, UK A fellow collector tells me that he saw just the other day a report in one of our national newspapers saying that the entry into circulation of our Bi-metallic two pound coins has been postponed. There is a problem with operating these coins in some vending machines so redesign is required and issue looks like been in March 1998.
