Put my computer on...........making contact with my provider.........open the E--mail...........open the in-comming list........ and yes..........it works!! Then I will published all the names of serouis menbers of the Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club and some reactions. Please have some patience. This I can tell: till now I have the names of 15 (!!) members from 5 different countries and it looks good for us. Further I must say that my English typing is not always the best. But I think You lovely people can read it, understand it and know what I mean. Sometimes there will be reported, by mistake, some errors but I will correct them. My favorit Bi-metallic......By Martin Peeters --------------------------------------------- In my Collection of Bi-metallics, about 250 pieces, it's hard to pick a favorite Bi. I think the Ireland 5 Ecu of 1995, 7500 pieces made, Copper Ring and Nickel plug with a picture of St. Patrick's (Archbishop of Ireland ) and the famous Harp of Ireland very nice styled and hight quality. The Bi-metallic is packed in a cardholder with the text: IRISH TREASURES. I think this one of my favorit Bi-metallic. Do you have a favorite Bi-metallic? Please let me and the menbers of the WBCC know. Member's report..... By Bill Allain ----------------------------------- 'I recently e-mailed the Singapore Mint for information on their current Bi-metallic $5.00 coin. The responce I received was that they were all sold out of their Bi-metallic $5.00 coin. I wanted one so badly!' Member's report.....By Martin Peeters ------------------------------------- 'Last weekend I visited with my collecting friend Frans Dubois a International Coin Show in the City Tilburg, The Netherlands. About 50 Coindealer had a stand. Dealers from The Netherlands, England, Germany and Belgium. Here in The Netherlands the Coindealers understand now that Collecting Bi-metallics is groowing. Most of the Coindealers now know when they see us: Bi-metallic Collectors. On this Coin Show I saw for the first time the for me new 25 Pounds of Syria. Because the Coindealer know we want Bi-metallics they try to 'pull up' the price. For example the Syria Bi-metallic was offered with one dealer for 14 Dutch Guilders and another for 7 Dutch Guilders!!' Do you have nice thinks or experiences? The Bi-metallic catalog ----------------------- I have earlier mentioned that my Bi-metallic catalog will published on October 1th. This catalog, I have called it 'The World of Bi-metallics' has about 6 pages A4, contains an overview of: - Bi-metallics Coins - Bi-metallic Ecu's and Bi-metallic Euro's - Bi-metallic Tokens and Bi-metallic Medals All the Bi-metallics are specified in: Country, Coinvalue, donimation, different Qualities (Proof, Bu, UNC, False, errors, diffent strokes), Ring and Plug Metall and some Details. Totally there are over 400 Bi-metallics mentioned. I know, even this catalog is not complete. I'm sure with the WBCC WE can make it more complete. In this catalog, Bi-mounthly published, I have made some room so all members of the Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club so they can make a mark which Bi-metallic one has. Some of you are concerning why I have to make the costs (Paper and postage) only. Well I put it clear: When you get the catalog at home, look at it and when you like it you can send me 2 US Dollars in an envelope. You can also send me a nice Bi-metallic. If you don't like the catalog then you send me a note and I stop sending it. News or old news? ----------------- Because the WBCC is a new Club there will be sometimes 'old' news for some of the members. You must know there are collecteors the just started this hobby, but I think you can understand this. Bi-metallic Tokens and Medals ----------------------------- Bi-metallic Tokens can specified in: - Bi-metallic City Tokens - Bi-metallic Transport Tokens (Metro, Parking and road) - Bi-metallic Gaming Tokens - Bi-metallic Test Tokens (Like Canada) Bi-metallic Medals can specified in: - Bi-metallic Commemorative Medals - Bi-metallic Personal gived Medals Have you seen other sorts Bi-metallic Tokens or Medals? Coin Magazines -------------- I have several subscriptions of Coin Magazines. A Dutch magazine called 'MuntKoerier' translated it is CoinCourier. This is an not very interested magazine with not very much about Bi-metallics. Only when there are new Bi-metallics they mentioned it sometimes and I pull it out. Two American Magazines, 'World Coin News' and 'Coin World'. They look very the same only the frequency is different. In World Coin News I put every mount a free advert that I'm looking for Bi-metallics but the reaction are pure. I think I have put 10 times an advert an 5 people have reacted. One of these people, a Coindealer from Italy who himself collects Bi-metallics, I still have contact with him and exchages some Bi-metallics. Now I'm trying to join him for our Bi-metallic Collectors Club. Do you have an subcribtion on a Coin magazin? Information-map --------------- When I see something in a Newspaper, Coinmagazin or other, about Bi-metallics or I can get some Info-brochures from official Mints I put this in my Information-map for Bi-metallics. At this time It contain about hundred pages of information. For example I have a nice info about the Singapore 5$ coin from the official Singaporese Mint. Nice brochures from the French and Dutch Mint. If you have nice brochures, or articles about Bi-metallics please let me know. Martin Peeters Focal Point WBCC
