Russian Bi-metallic Tokens...............By Frans Dubois A few week ago I had the opportunity to buy 2 Russian Bi-metallic commemorative Tokens. The text on these Bi-metallics I could not read because it was all in Russian language. One with Alexander (the great?) 1818-1881 and the other one with a picture of for me unknown Saint with the years 1865-1925. It looks they are of a serie Russian commemoratives Bi-metallcs but i'm not sure. Futher details unknown. 2. Dear WBCC Helpdesk.......................By Larry Friemel "Dear WBCC Helpdesk, Some earlier Bi-metallic Rubels from Russia are made in Leninggrad and/or in Moscow, mentioned in the 1996/7 KM catalog and 'The World of Bi-metallics' catalog. How can I see that on these Bi-metallics." In response to your question on Russian mint marks. First, you will find the mint mark under the right foot of the double headed eagle. The mint mark for Leningrad is a stylized LM contained within a circle (or oval) whereas the Moscow mint mark is a very recognizable MM also contained within a circle. I looked at my coins and it appears I have all Leningrad except from one from Moscow. Hope that is useful and what you were looking for. Do you have a question for the WBCC Helpdesk, send it to: Larry Friemel: lrfriemel@ccgate.hac.com 4. How to obtain Bi-metallics...........Martin Peeters When you want to expand your collections of Bi-metallic this I can tell you; it takes a lot of time, patience and creativity to obtain Bi-metallics. The FIRST thing you must do is to tell every body you know that you collect Bi-metallics. When I say that to people they look strange and don't know what I mean, that's why I have always a Bi-metallic in my pocket to show them. SECOND when familly or friends go on vacation, just before they go you make a list of Bi-metallics you want of the country they visiting. THIRD write letters to coindealers all over the World. FOURTH read Coinnewsletters. FITH and not at last, join the Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club and be an active and devoted member. 7. Nice webside..................By Frans Woons I saw recently this nice webside about the Australian Perth Mint: http://www.global.net.au/Perth_Mint 8. The Austrian 50 Shilling Bi-metallc....By Martin Peeters Today I have vised an international Coinshow and found the Austrian 50 Shilling Bi-metallic is also available in a very nice Cartholder.
